Installing and Launching Class

Class is a virtual classroom platform that some students at PALCS are using. Class is similar to Zoom as it is developed using Zoom's software development kit.
Class can be installed from the Software Catalog in the Plugins>Zoom folder. Below is a screenshot of where it is located.

After installing Class, a shortcut will appear on your computer desktop.

Clicking on that shortcut will open the Class program. You do not need to sign in to Class. When clicking on a Class room link in your teacher's Canvas course, be sure to open in Class (not Zoom). Below is a screenshot of the popup that should appear when clicking on a Class link. Students are to check the box that says, "Always allow classedu.class.com to open links of this type in the associated app" and click the Open Class button.

After clicking Open in Class, students will be presented with a window to enter their name.

If you see a small window with a Zoom login screen, please ignore this.
