Windows 10 uses a program called Windows Fax and Scan to scan documents.
Locate Windows Fax and Scan by going into the Start menu, selecting the Accessories folder, and selecting Windows Fax and Scan. You can also search for Windows Fax and Scan in the search bar next to the Start icon.
A new window will appear. In the top-left corner of this window, select New Scan.
A new window will appear. Make sure you have the correct scanner selected, then select Scan.
The document will now scan. Once the scan is complete, there will be a preview image of it in the Windows Fax and Scan window.
