Google Calendars are a useful tool for keeping track of appointments and events. You can use the Google Calendar added to your PALCS student Google account by clicking on the 9 dots on any Google Workspace application (Drive, Gmail, etc) and selecting Calendar. (Or by visiting https://calendar.google.com/ )
That will take you to your Google calendar.
If you are sharing a Google Calendar publicly (someone outside of PALCS) it is a good idea to create a new Calendar. Click on the "+" icon at the bottom left.
Then select "Create new calendar."
Name the calendar and then select "Create calendar."
This will add an additional calendar to your "My calendars" section.
To share this calendar, drag your mouse over the calendar name and three dots will appear.
Click "Settings and sharing." (You can also adjust the color of the calendar here.)
Scroll down until you get to the "Share with specific people or groups" section, select "+ Add people and groups."
Then enter the email address that you'd like to share the calendar with.
(Note, you will likely get a failed to deliver email in your student email, this is fine as we block most communication with outside email addresses.)
Then scroll up to the "Get Sharable link" select that and then click on the "Copy link" button.
This link will let you add the calendar to a personal account. Paste the link on a personal browser/while signed into the personal account. It should take you to this screen (if you are sharing with a Google / Gmail account), select "Add."
It should then show up as an available calendar (without having to accept any invites or receive the invitation link from the student email.)
(If you do not share the calendar with the email it will look like this when you try to add it.)
Once added, the calendar will automatically sync any meetings or appointments added.
