Google Chrome Extensions are a very useful component of the Google Chrome Browser. They add lots of new functions and features, but sometimes you may need to disable them. (There are often malicious extensions that will alter your browser behavior in unintended behaviors so you should only install extensions recommended by your teachers.)
The easiest way to manage extensions is to click on the puzzle piece icon at the top right of your screen and then select "Manage Extensions."
That will take you to a screen where you can manage your extensions.
Use the slider to temporary disable extensions (useful for troubleshooting odd issues) and use the "Remove" button to completely remove the extension entirely. By default, we force the Google Translate extension on all of our PALCS computers as an accessibility feature and it cannot be disabled.
You can also access this page by entering "chrome://extensions/" into your browser's URL field or you can use the three dots at the top right of the screen, hover over "More tools," and select "Extensions."
