Starting in 2026, our new software distribution tool is called the "Company Portal." It can be found in the start menu, by default it should be pinned to the top of the list.
If it cannot be located, you can search for "Company portal" and it should show up as an available app.
We make this tool available so that software can be installed on PALCS devices without additional permission being granted. (By default, students do not have the ability to install applications on their PALCS devices without this tool.)
When launched, it will open to the Home screen that shows recent apps and your devices.
The "Apps" tab on the left side will let you see ALL the apps available for download.
To install an application, click on the app, then select "Install."
It will then automatically download and install the application to your computer.
Once it is finished it will say "Installed" and you may also get a notification on the bottom left that looks like this.
That new app should be available on your device. (Depending on the app, it may show up on the desktop, start menu or both.)
If you think there should be an app available, you can click on the settings gear at the bottom left and then click "Sync." That will update your computer to get the latest applications to be available. (This sync may take 5-10 minutes depending on your network connection.)
