There was a bug inside of a older version of Google Chrome that mistakenly installed Google "Chrome Apps" to computers without user prompting. Often it would create multiple copies all with similar install dates. These additional programs are not harmful and can either be ignored or removed by click on the app and selecting "Uninstall."
The bug that caused this was fixed by Google and should no longer be an issue in the future. The fix prevented it from happening again but did not clean up the mistakenly installed shortcuts/apps.
